One shot on Alcorn Drive

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A disagreement between a man and a woman led to gunfire and one person being shot on Alcorn Drive in Vicksburg.

One person was shot just before 6:30 p.m. after an altercation with someone known to them. The woman was struck in the head, and her condition is unknown. Radio traffic indicated she was grazed by the bullet, but that has yet to be confirmed. It is also unknown if this is a domestic violence situation.

The man ran into the wooded area near there and is currently being sought by the Vicksburg Police Department. He has been identified and does not have a Vicksburg address. A massive police presence and hunt for the shooter is underway.
