Please help with the final expenses for fallen Vicksburg Police Officer

Last week Officer Carl “Boo-Man” Houston passed away unexpectedly.

He was scheduled to show up for a shift and when he didn’t report other officers went to check on him. He was found deceased, apparently passing as he slept.

Unfortunately, he had not made arrangements for his final expenses. Dontae Jefferson of CJ Williams Mortuary Services has initiated a fundraiser for Houston.

Jefferson said, “We are handling the funeral arrangements of Vicksburg Police Officer Carl “Boo-Man” Houston who was a retired officer that recently went back to work at the police department. Unfortunately, Houston did not have anything in place to cover his final expenses so with permission from his immediate family we have started this fund to give Officer Houston the proper burial that he deserves especially for putting his life on the line to serve and protect our community for many years! Thank each and every one of you for your generosity during this difficult time! God Bless”
