Port Gibson secured a 41-40 win over Newton

Port Gibson High School girls’ basketball team secured a 41-40 win over Newton High on Monday.

Amiyah Hedrick hit the final basket with only a few seconds left in the game to help PG take home the win. Ger’Kiya Flowers finished with 21 points on the night while Camara Evans and Kennajia Goods both put up seven. Hedrick added four points on the board and Rekiyah Washington scored two points.

PG will play Lanier on Tuesday night.
