Remembering Paula Marie Savell-Bittle
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Paula Marie Bittle died on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Merit Health River Region. She was 68.
A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, she had been a resident of Vicksburg for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin Savell, Sr. and Zola Childress Savell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Parker; sisters, Clara Savell Snodgrass and Patricia Savell Suydam; grandson, Beau Franklin; and a granddaughter, Italy Grace.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela “Cathy” Watson (Johnny), of Belzoni, and Bobbie Parker, of Vicksburg; her brother, Charles Savell, Jr., of Bastrop, Louisiana; her sister, Maxine Wise (Jim), of Oak Grove, LA; grandchildren, Justin Watson (Rachel), Jayce Chambliss (Madison), J.J. Watsson, Beverly Ahner (Ashton), and Emily Renfroe (Joe); 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Hewitt Cemetery in Mangham, Louisiana.
