VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren County Board of Supervisors voted Monday to approve a bid for the construction of the Riverfront Park project, awarding the contract to Wildstone Construction Services Ltd. The $4 million project is expected to begin this summer, according to Keith O’Keefe, county engineer.

Wildstone Construction Services, based in Flora, Mississippi, is a certified woman-owned small business (WOSB), as well as a licensed commercial and residential contractor, and professional engineering firm.

In 2022, the Golding family donated property at Oak and Lee streets for a community park. The park, which offers one of Vicksburg’s best views of the Mississippi River, will replace the former Riverfront Park, which closed due to erosion.
