Saturday Morning's Domestic Assault

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Both parties involved in the domestic assault incident in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 2, have been charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence.

According to a press release by the Vicksburg Police Department, shortly after 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, November 2, 2024, Merit Health River Region reported a male subject, later identified as 28-years-old Daron Evans, at the Emergency Room with a stab wound to his upper body. Not long after, Vicksburg Police officers were dispatched to the area of the Churchill Drive and Indiana Avenue intersection for a female assault victim laying in the street, who has been identified as 23-year-old Elizabeth Rader.

Evans was taken into custody upon his release from the emergency room.

Radar was transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment.

Evans was charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence. Judge Angela Carpenter set his bond at $250,000 and bound him over to the Warren County Grand Jury.

Rader was also charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence. Appearing before Judge Angela Carpenter, she was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $75,000 bond.
