Season Preview: Smith and Lambiotte expected to be impact players for the Flashes
Football is right around the corner as St. Aloysius is set to take the field in less than two weeks. Impact players Carson Smith and Sadler Lambiotte are expected to play heavy roles in 2024.
Smith:
Carson Smith is coming into another year as the starting quarterback and he is looking forward to the upcoming season.
“I’m excited and we have a lot of guys that are ready to step up,” Smith said.
In 2023, Smith started on the offense and defense where he contributed 953 passing yards, seven touchdowns, 212 receiving yards, 15 catches, 182 receiving yards, 33 tackles, and six pass deflections.
Although Smith hasn’t received any offers at this time, he is currently in talks with a few schools.
Lambiotte:
Sadler Lambiotte played quarterback, wide receiver, and at the safety position in the previous years where he’s been a well-rounded athlete for the Flashes.
Lambiotte also visions that St. Al will have a better season in 2024.
“I’m feeling good about it and we have a bigger roster this year and our coach is very passionate,” Lambiotte said.
Sadler primarily starred on defense last year and is projected to have another impact season in 2024.
Smith and Lambiotte will be led by Head Coach Walker Mosby and they will open their season next Friday on the road against Adams County Christian School.
