South Delta’s Marvin Powell Jr. selected for MSA All-Star Game
ANGUILLA, Miss. (VDN) — Marvin Powell Jr., quarterback for South Delta High School, has been selected to play in the Magnolia Sports Association All-Star Game. The senior standout will compete in the MSA Senior Bowl, which will be held at East Central Community College.
“I feel great about this, and it’s my first time playing in an All-Star game, so I know I’ll be ready,” Powell said.
Powell has been the driving force behind the Bulldogs’ success this season, leading them to a 6-2 record following last week’s 34-0 win over Riverside High School. He has thrown for 648 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 1,071 yards and 13 scores.
A four-year starter, Powell has guided South Delta to the playoffs each season. This year, the Bulldogs have already clinched home-field advantage for the opening round, marking another milestone in Powell’s standout high school career.
