St. Aloysius boys earn road win over Prairie View
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — St. Aloysius boys’ basketball team picked up an impressive road victory over Prairie View Academy on Monday night, winning 75–44. The Flashes had three players score in double figures in the dominant performance.
Garrod Bunch led the way with 18 points, followed by Carson Gleese with 16 and Alan Stauts with 10. Sadler Lambiotte, Carson Henderson, and Tre Lee each added five points, while Carter Henderson, Grant Gattle, and Mac Connell scored four apiece. Walt Andrews and Landyn Davis each contributed two points in the win.
The St. Aloysius girls came up just short in their matchup, falling 38–35 to Prairie View. Kennadi Blassingame led the Lady Flashes with nine points. Farrell Roberson added six, while Kelcie Bingham, Taryn Lusby, and Megan Theriot each had five. Pressley Carr scored three points, and Annslee Averett added one.
In junior high action, the St. Al boys defeated Prairie View 28–24. Reeves Sadler paced the team with 14 points. Andrew Johnston scored four, and Kellen Crocker, Van Peeples, Noah Ponder, Adam Dorbeck, and Carter Lutrell each added two.
The St. Aloysius junior high girls fell 33–15 to Prairie View. Joy Dement led the Lady Flashes with six points and three rebounds. Annaleigh Herring added two points and eight rebounds, while Kennadi Blassingame finished with two points and 11 rebounds.
Porter’s Chapel Academy’s girls’ team fell to Copiah Academy 56–9. Marley Busby led PCA with four points, Raeden Busby added three, and Lexi Whittington scored two.
