Stage 4 Colon Cancer Fighter Dan Jackson to represent our area in PGA Tournament

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Dan Jackson has been selected to represent Colon Cancer patients at the Tucson Cologuard Classic Golf Tournament.
“I have been selected by the Colon Cancer Coalition and sponsored by Exact Sciences to represent Colon Cancer patients/ survivors in Tucson at the Cologuard Classic Golf Tournament,” said Jackson. “I will also be representing Man up to Cancer, a support group for men with cancer. A place for men to support each other instead of closing down and “checking out.” Tournament winners have hoisted the distinctive Tucson Conquistadores helmet trophy for over 50 years.

“The Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences features a 78-player field competing for a $2.2 million purse and the iconic Tucson Conquistadores helmet trophy, with $330,000 and 330,000 Charles Schwab Cup points awarded to the tournament winner.”
Jackson has been fighting Stage 4 Colon Cancer for over 2 years. “I am honored for this opportunity to meet other survivors and caregivers, learn more about advocacy and make new connections.”
Locals may be able to see Jackson and other representative on the Today Show Friday morning the 7th. The golf tournament will be televised with the Colon Cancer fighters wearing blue shirts. Blue is the color for Colon Cancer and March is the awareness month for it.
