Teenager Accused of Killing a Woman in Natchez

NATCHEZ, MS. – A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested in Natchez after allegedly shooting and killing a woman over the weekend. The incident happened on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. at the 1100 block of George F. West Boulevard.

Earlier reports indicated that a fight broke out between the teenager and a man. The teen then left the scene and returned with a shotgun and fired the gun inside the home before barricading himself inside the old Thompson school. He was later surrounded by the Natchez police.

31-year-old Dambrelle Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. She was shot in the arms and upper chest. The teenager has not been named at this time but is expected to be charged as an adult according to the Natchez police.
