The Rocky Horror Documentary

The film “Strange Journey The Story of Rocky Horror” tells the story of how the cult classic went from humble origins as a London fringe theatre play to its meteoric rise as the biggest cult film of all time. This is the definitive story of the Rocky Horror Show.

Horror’s Cultural Impact

With intimate access to its creator, Richard O’Brien, the documentary explores what makes the play and film so singular – its groundbreaking and transgressive themes, iconic performances, and epic songs that took over popular culture.

Featuring revelatory interviews from the film’s original cast including Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Patricia Quinn, plus appearances from celebrity fans, such as Jack Black and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Trixie Mattel, sharing deeply personal reflections on Rocky Horror’s cultural impact.

Advance tickets will be $9 at Highway 61 Coffeehouse. Tickets will be $10 at the door.

The Strand Theatre is located at 717 Clay Street in downtown Vicksburg.

And as always, the popcorn is free.
