Two injured in head-on collision on I-20

Two people suffered injuries after a head-on collision on I-20 East.

The accident occurred just after 4 a.m. on eastbound I-20 about 2 miles past the Bovina exit.  One of the vehicles was reportedly driving the wrong way on the interstate. The vehicles had significant front-end damage and both ended in the far left lane and median. Neither vehicle had Mississippi tags.

Both drivers were being treated at the scene by EMT’s and neither appears to have life-threatening injuries.

Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Chuck Tate from Culkin and units from Bovina were at the accident scene assisting the injured.

Traffic is flowing through the area at a reduced speed but with no backups.
