Tyler Carter named Defensive MVP of the Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game

Vicksburg native Tyler Carter was named Most Valuable Defensive Player(North Team) in the 2023 Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Football Game.

In the 20-15 loss to the South, Carter grabbed 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He also played alongside Vicksburg natives Tyler Henderson, Beau Davis and Demarcus Johnson.

Carter is a standout defensive lineman for Vicksburg High School where he racked up 51 tackles and 6.5 sacks in the 2023 season.
