Diaper drive

VICKSBURG, MISS. – United Way of West Central Mississippi is proud to continue their annual community-wide Diaper Drive to support local families struggling to afford essential diaper supplies. In partnership with four local agencies—Center for Pregnancy Choices, Vicksburg Family Development, Cary Christian Center, and Vicksburg Child and Parent Center (CAP Center)—this initiative aims to provide much-needed relief to parents facing financial hardships.

Statistically, 1 in 3 parents in our service area struggle to provide diapers for their children. Through this diaper drive, we seek to alleviate this burden and ensure that no child goes without this basic necessity.
Local businesses and organizations are stepping up to participate in this important cause by serving as diaper collection sites. Community members can drop off diaper donations at Vicksburg Warren Public Library, Delta Bank, United Way of West Central Mississippi, Hinds Community College, and Jubilee Therapy.

Additionally, they extend a special thank you to Batesville Manufacturing and Ameristar for allowing their employees to contribute to this effort by providing workplace collection opportunities.

“We believe that no parent should have to choose between food, rent, and diapers for their child,” said Ruby Green, Director of Community Impact at United Way of West Central Mississippi. “Through the generosity of our community, we can ensure that every baby has access to the essentials they need to grow and thrive.”

Community members are encouraged to participate by donating diapers of all sizes at the designated drop-off locations or by the United Way office at 920 South Street. Every contribution makes a meaningful impact in the lives of families throughout our region.
