Vicksburg’s Rory Johnson named defensive coordinator of the Saarland Hurricanes

Vicksburg native Rory Johnson has been hired as the new defensive coordinator of the Saarland Hurricanes of the German Football League.
Johnson starred for the Berlin Rebels for over a decade and was considered one of the best players in the league since his 2010 rookie season. Before playing in the GFL, Johnson played briefly in the NFL and CFL.
Johnson is a 2004 graduate of Vicksburg High School where he was a dandy dozen before going off to play at Hinds CC and Ole Miss.
