The Warren Central High School Class of 2016 has awarded scholarships to two recent graduates, continuing a tradition of supporting the next generation of Vikings.

Landon Green and Re’Miyah Epps each received a $200 scholarship from the Class of 2016, which recently celebrated its 10-year class reunion.

Green will attend Mississippi State University this fall, while Epps plans to enroll at Hinds Community College.

In a Facebook post announcing the recipients, members of the Class of 2016 encouraged the graduates as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

“Landon and Re’Miyah, continue to work hard, chase your dreams, and make your mark! We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. And remember … Once a Viking, always a Viking,” the class wrote.

The scholarships serve as an investment in future generations of Warren Central students, as members of the Class of 2016 reflected on reaching the 10-year milestone since they were in the same position as this year’s graduates.
