Warren Central edges Ridgeland in double overtime

RIDGELAND, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central pulled out a gritty double-overtime victory over Ridgeland on Monday night, overcoming missed chances and finishing with a 2–1 win. The Vikings controlled much of the match and outshot the Titans, but struggled to capitalize until late.

Warren Central struck first when Jonah Artman converted a penalty kick in regulation. Ridgeland later equalized, sending the match into overtime. The Vikings continued to pressure the Titans’ defense before finally breaking through in the first overtime period, when Nick Lee buried the winning goal to secure the victory.

Goalkeeper Mahamed Shuaibi helped keep Warren Central in position throughout the night, finishing with two saves in the win.
