Warren Central girls finish second; boys third at Canton Speed City Invitational
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central High School girls’ track and field team placed second overall at the Canton Speed City Invitational with 112 points, while the Vikings boys team finished third with 104.5 points.
The Lady Vikes turned in a strong performance, highlighted by four first-place finishes and several top-five efforts across multiple events.
Arrionna Jenkins led the way in the field events, capturing first place in both the discus (107 feet, 2 inches) and shot put (37-4). Madison Ward also delivered a standout performance, earning first-place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles (16.17 seconds), long jump (16-7) and triple jump (34-2.50).
On the boys’ side, Warren Central secured three first-place finishes, with strong showings in distance and field events.
