UPDATE – 9:07 p.m. – The School Board Trustee vote totals have been updated. The new preliminary total is: Patterson – 1526, Dotson – 1204.

VICKSBURG, MS – Initial vote 2024 totals are in for Warren County. Here is the preliminary breakdown:

For President Donald Trump has 7901 votes to 7067 for Harris

In the Senate race, the incumbent Roger Wicker has 7766 votes to Ty Pinkins 6585.

Ron Eller carried Warren County with 7756 to incumbent Bennie Thompson’s 6954

In the locally contested race for School District Trustee, Linda Patterson leads Tawina Dotson by 36 votes.

These tallies are preliminary and do not include absentee et all votes.

The Vicksburg Daily News will update this information as it is made available.

Absentee voting was substantial this year and it will take some time to tally all those votes.

In Warren County there are three important elections in 2024. The first is the primary election, which was scheduled for March 12th. The primary will select candidates who will represent their party in the general election. Then on April 2nd, there was a primary runoff, which may be necessary if no candidate receives the necessary amount of votes during the primary. Finally, on November 5th, there was the general election. This election will determine the ultimate winners for various elected positions, including important state and federal offices including President, senators, and representatives. It is an important time for voters to express their preferences and to help shape the direction of the country. It is crucial to stay informed and engaged in this democratic process.
