Warren Central High School’s baseball team ended Saturday night with a 6-4 win over Germantown. Earlier today the Vikings fell short to Faith Academy(3-2) and Hillcrest(4-3).

The final game remained dry until the third inning when Tristan Jamison singled to get the Vikings on the board. The Mavericks eventually took the 2-1 lead by the end of the third after hitting a double.

The Vikings didn’t strike back until the fifth inning when Jacob Kealhofer hit a 2-run single along with Trace Hood being hit by a pitch that gave them the 4-2 lead. The sixth inning would be profitable after Hays Loper smashed a double. Blake Caruthers hit a triple that brought in the next run which was followed by a single by Jamison to put the score at 6-4.

The Mavericks got on the board one more time in the sixth but it wasn’t enough to overcome WC.

Kealhofer(2 RBIs), Jamison(2 RBIs), Caruthers(1 RBI), and Loper all went 2 for 3 at the plate. Beau Bradley struck out six batters and only allowed two hits while Lester Martin and Loper both struck out one batter each.

WC vs. Hillcrest:

WC fell short 4-3. Loper, Hood, and Kealhofer all hit a double while Caruthers went 2 for 4 at the plate. Jamison also had a hit.

Nathaniel Moore struck out five batters in the loss and Ryan Steed struck out one.

WC vs. Faith Academy

Kealhofer hit a double in the 3-2 loss. Loper went 3 for 4 at the plate while Hood and Caruthers each had a hit. Caden Cole struck out four batters and Justin Greer struck out two.

The Vikings will host Jackson Prep on Tuesday.
