VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—Warren Central Junior High has announced the appointment of Michelle Fisackerly as the school’s new eighth-grade assistant principal for the upcoming academic year.

Fisackerly brings 23 years of experience in education, including two decades of service within the Vicksburg Warren School District. She began her career at West Bolivar Middle School before moving to Vicksburg High School, where she taught social studies and coached basketball and softball. She also served as a volleyball coach at Warren Central High School.

Back in 2023, Coach Fisackerly achieved a notable milestone by securing her 100th victory as the Junior Varsity Head Coach for the Warren Central High School volleyball team. That victory was against Callaway High School and she finished with an overall 104-37 record.

Most recently, Fisackerly taught U.S. History at River City Early College.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in social science education, and a specialist degree in educational leadership. Fisackerly is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership, with her research focused on supporting the mental health of high school students who have experienced grief and loss.

Outside the classroom, Fisackerly enjoys spending time with her two boxer dogs, collecting vinyl records, attending concerts, and making memories with friends and family.
