We’re going below freezing soon, ice is forecasted for Monday

The National Weather Service in Jackson has updated their forecast on the approaching wintry weather.

Vicksburg and Warren County are projected to get a thin sheeting of ice Monday in the morning or early afternoon according to the most recent forecast. We will go below 32 degrees later this evening and stay there until Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon is forecasted to get up to 40 but we will drop below freezing again overnight on Wednesday.

Wind chill will take us below zero

Warren County is just below the snow line but up to an inch of snow is possible in our area.
