45th Run Thru History – sign up now

The 45th Run Thru History has been scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2024.

The annual event takes place entirely inside the Vicksburg National Military Park. This year’s race will feature a 10k run, a 5k run, and a one-mile fun run for the under 12-year-old crowd.

Registration is open now and you can enter by clicking here. Corporate teams are welcome and encouraged. If you register early, before February 26, the cost is $30 for the 10k or 5k run. After February 26 it is $35. The fun run for kids is $10.

Run Thru History

All funds raised go to the Vicksburg YMCA.

A living history encampment will be located near the park visitors center at the start-finish line. It will feature Civil War-era soldiers and citizens performing period-specific activities.

There will be refreshments and live music featuring The Chill after the race.

Saturday afternoon, after the race, there will also be a free park bus tour featuring official park guides for race participants and their families. You can sign up for that when you pick up your registration/race packet.
