Trial Date Scheduled for Vicksburg Man Charged with Sex Crimes Against Minors

A Vicksburg man’s trial date has been set as he is charged with multiple sex crimes against minors. Judge James Chaney scheduled Malcolm Ward’s trial date for the November 18th term(Nov 18- Dec 9).

Ward faces four counts of Sexual Battery of a Child Under the Age of 14. He also has been charged with two counts of Molesting. He was first arrested back in December 2023.

Back in August, Ward stood before Judge Chaney where the request for his bond deduction was denied and the judge ordered that he remain in the Warren County Jail on his original $900,000 bail.

Assistant District Attorney Liem Walker will prosecute the case. If convicted, Ward faces multiple life sentences.
