Key City Classic kicks off busy Vicksburg weekend

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Katie Reese came in first place overall in the 10K at this morning’s Key City Classic race that kicked off a full weekend for the Key City. The 17th annual fundraising event for Grace Christian Counseling was held downtown near the Old Courthouse museum, consisting of a 10K, 5K, and 5K walk.

Raffle tickets were also sold to help raise additional funds with a prize packages consisting of an H.C. Porter dibond of “Taylor’s Grocery,” a private dinner for six prepared by Chef William Furlong, a two-night stay at Duff Green Mansion, and a commissioned art piece by Seth Hudspeth.

Grace Christian Counseling Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing mental health support, education, and therapy for individuals, families, and groups.  One of the missions that Grace seeks to fulfill is providing these services regardless of income or insurance coverage. We are an agency with the West Central Mississippi United Way.
