WC volleyball opened district play with a win over Callaway; VHS took a loss to Florence

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —

Warren Central High School’s volleyball team opened district play with a dominant three-set victory over Callaway.

The Lady Vikes controlled the match from start to finish, winning 25-8, 25-13 and 25-19 to pick up their first district victory of the season.

Alice Luna led Warren Central with 21 points and five aces, while Lauren Stamps and Evella Fairley each contributed 15 points. Stamps also recorded four aces.

Alaina Williams finished with nine points and 12 digs for the Missy Gators, while Kenley Henderson added nine points and 14 digs. Zaria Jones also recorded 14 digs to go along with eight points.
