Milwaukee man facing life in prison for killing Vicksburg native Sade Robinson
MILWAUKEE, WI. (VDN) — A Milwaukee man is facing a life sentence after being convicted of killing and dismembering Vicksburg native Sade Robinson. Maxwell Anderson was convicted by a jury last Friday for the charges of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse, and arson. Robinson was just 19 years old when she died last year.
Evidence presented in court showed that 33-year-old Anderson went on a first date with Robinson in early April. That was the same night that the murder took place.
Robinson was reported missing not long afterwards which is when the case took a nasty turn. On April 2nd, Robinson’s severed leg was found at Warnimont Park. A few days later on April 6th, Robinson’s foot was found and other body parts were eventually found including her torso.
Sade’s head and neck were never recovered so her cause of death was never determined.
After Anderson’s arrest last year, a confidential informant came forward and stated that Sade’s murder was planned weeks before it occurred. Evidence stated that Anderson told a friend about his plans to kill Robinson and that he walked them through the basement of his home where he planned to do it.
Anderson also showed him the room where he would committ the murder which consisted of a room covered in plastic painter tarp with a sanitation sink and three saws visible. The tarp was reportedly taped to the floor and the ceiling, covering the walls and the floor.
There is no public report on why the friend didn’t report Anderson’s plans beforehand.
Robinson’s family gained a sigh of relief on Friday when the jury found Anderson guilty on all counts. He faces a mandatory life sentence and will be officially sentenced on August 15.
