VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native Ty Mack is continuing his basketball career at Delta State University. Mack, a freshman guard, is in his first season with the Statesmen after sitting out last year.

A 2024 graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy, Ty Mack starred under former head coach Casey Fisher. One of his standout games came against Tri-County Academy, when he poured in 28 points. During his senior season, he was selected to play in the MAIS All-Star Basketball Game, where he earned MVP honors by scoring 18 points against some of the state’s top players.

Now playing under Delta State head coach Mike Nienaber, Mack and the Statesmen will open their official season in November.
