Vicksburg High’s Erin Grace selected as Mississippi Secretary of State’s Student Ambassador

Vicksburg, Miss. (VWSD)Vicksburg High School senior Erin Grace Smith has been selected as a 2025–2026 Mississippi Secretary of State’s Student Ambassador, an honor recognizing outstanding student leaders who are passionate about civic engagement and state government.

Erin Grace is the daughter of Dionne Carter and Eros Smith. The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Student Ambassador Program, led by Secretary of State Michael Watson, connects high school seniors with opportunities to learn about state government, voter education, and public service. Through the program, students interact regularly with leaders from the Secretary of State’s Office, the Mississippi Legislature, and various state and local officials.

At Vicksburg High School, Erin Grace serves as Class Vice President, National Technical Honor Society President, and is an active member of the Gator Girl Dance Team, Soccer Team, and Key Club. Beyond the classroom, she attends Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church and serves on the Warren County Youth Advisory Board.

After graduation, Erin Grace plans to attend a prestigious university, majoring in social or medical science with a minor in pre-law, with the goal of becoming a lawyer.

Vicksburg High School Principal Dr. Robert Lampkin praised Erin Grace for her leadership and service to others. “Erin Grace is an exceptional young woman whose drive and passion for leadership set her apart,” said Dr. Lampkin. “Her selection as a Student Ambassador reflects her commitment to making a difference in her school, community, and state. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and confident that she will continue to achieve great things.”

The Vicksburg Warren School District congratulates Erin Grace on this distinguished accomplishment and applauds her continued efforts to represent Vicksburg High School and her community with excellence.
