BOS holds regular meeting Oct. 20

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren County Board of Supervisors (BOS) held a regular meeting today, Monday, Oct. 20 in the third floor meeting room at Warren County Court House.

The BOS began the meeting by passing a resolution honoring former Warren County Tax Collector Antonia Flagg Jones. Jones passed away earlier this month on Oct. 12. The resolution was presented to Jones’ spouse Mario Jones by BOS President Kelle Barfield. The resolution passed unanimously by present Board members Barfield, District 5; Edward Herring, District 1; William Banks, Jr., District 2; and John Carlisle, District 4. Supervisor Shawn Jackson, District 3, was not present for the meeting.

All items on the consent agenda were approved and there was no discussion on the bulleted items. Following the approval for each department, the Supervisors moved to Executive Session to discuss litigation matters concerning Kings Point Island Ferry.
