VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Local defensive standouts Marquis Knight and Graham Streif have both seen their recruiting stock rise, as each now holds three athletic scholarship offers following productive high school football seasons.

Knight, a senior at Vicksburg High School, proved to be a versatile two-way contributor for the Gators during the 2025 season. Playing in the secondary while also contributing on offense and special teams, Knight finished the year with 15 receptions for 231 yards and two touchdowns. He added five returns for 131 yards, including one kickoff return touchdown. Defensively, Knight recorded 14 solo tackles, one interception, one pass breakup and one forced fumble.

Knight’s all-around play helped Vicksburg advance to the first round of the Class 5A playoffs in 2025. His performance throughout the season earned him All-District, All-County and All-State honors. Knight has received scholarship offers from Cornell College, Capital University and Bethel College and continues to draw interest for his ability to impact the game in multiple phases.

Streif, a junior defensive back at Warren Central High School, was a key piece of the Vikings’ championship run this season. He led the team in pass deflections and finished the year with 80 total tackles and one interception. Streif’s consistent presence in the secondary earned him All-District and All-County recognition.

Streif played an important role in helping Warren Central capture the Class 6A state championship, marking the program’s first title in 31 years. Following the historic season, he has picked up scholarship offers from Hinds Community College, Coahoma Community College and Millsaps College.

Neither Knight nor Streif has committed to a college program at this time, and both players remain open in their recruitment as they continue to evaluate their options moving forward.
