Smokey Flynn Foy 1950-2026

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — 

Smokey Flynn Foy passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 76.

Smokey was born on March 9, 1950, the son of Robert Thomas Foy and Gertie Watkins Foy.  He was a very intelligent man and was an electronics genius.  He enjoyed playing checkers and was unbeatable.  He loved everything Ole Miss and also watching other teams.  He could watch three televisions at once and be able to tell what was happening on all of them.  He was also an avid weather man.  He was a member of Watkinsville Church of God. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Wayne Foy.

He is survived by his brother Martann Foy and sisters Lillian Green, Jan Foy and Glenda Stewart.

A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.  The service will be officiated by Rev. Roger Cresswell.
