VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
Vicksburg native Ka’Dajai Allen has been selected as Alcorn State University’s Cheerleader of the Week.
The cheerleading team announced Allen’s selection Sunday, just one day after the Braves defeated Arkansas Baptist 63-7 during their homecoming game.
“Ka’Dajai continues to represent Alcorn State University Cheerleading with pride and dedication,” the team wrote in a Facebook post. “As a co-captain, she plays an important role in helping lead our team and uphold the standard of excellence we strive for every day.
“Congratulations, Ka’Dajai! Keep leading, keep shining, and keep representing the Purple and Gold.”
Allen is currently a junior and serves as one of the cheerleading team’s co-captains. She also received the Most Spirited Award in April.
The cheerleading program is led by head coach Dr. Timothy Queen and assistant head coach Kala Blanton.
Allen is a 2024 graduate of Vicksburg High School.
