A list of upcoming local Easter events

Easter is right around the corner! Here is a list of upcoming egg hunts and local events you can enjoy with the family.

1. Easter Egg Hunt at Sports Force Park

   The Vicksburg Family Development Service is hosting an Easter egg hunt at Sports Force Park. The event is free; simply BYOB: Bring your own basket!

   When: March 28 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
   Where: Sports Force Park located at 255 Fisher Ferry Road

2. Brunch with the Easter bunny

   The Vicksburg Country Club is currently taking reservations for brunch with the Easter bunny.

   When: March 30 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
   Where: The Vicksburg Country Club, located at 127 Country Club Drive

3. Pictures with the Easter bunny

   Photographer HM Memories will be at Overdrive Nutrition, offering photos with the Easter Bunny for just $10. The offer includes 1-2 digital photos.

   When: March 30 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
   Where: Overdrive Nutrition, located at 3516 Manor Drive.

4. Glow Easter egg hunt
   

   The Youth Development Center is hosting a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt Saturday evening.

   When: March 30 from 5 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
   Where: 2020 Mission 66

5. Easter Eggstravaganza

   Crossway Church is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza this weekend, which is open to all families and the community.

   When: March 30 at 11:00 a.m.
   Where: Crossway Church, located at 1825 Highway 61 South

6. Community-wide Easter egg hunt

   Elevate church will hold an Easter egg hunt open to the whole community.

   When: March 30  at 10:00 a.m.
   Where: Halls Ferry Park Baseball Fields, located at 130 Halls Ferry Park Road

7. A visit with the Easter Bunny

   The Old Depot Museum is holding a free event for children to see the Easter Bunny this Saturday.

   When: March 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
   Where: The Old Depot Museum is located at 1010 Levee Street.

8. 75th Annual Easter Sunrise Service

   The National Military Park will host a traditional Easter Sunrise Service this Sunday atop Fort Hill. Reverends Nathaniel Stamper and Dexter Jones will minister the service and music will be performed by Hunter Lynch of Highland Baptist Church. Parking will be available on Confederate Avenue

   When: March 31 at 7:00 a.m.
   Where: Fort Hill  located in the Vicksburg National Military Park
