Former VPD Officer Alvin Wells dies

Former VPD Officer Alvin Wells has passed away. Wells died of natural causes.

After serving in Vicksburg, Wells went on to serve as a deputy in Hinds County. Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones honored Wells with a post on social media saying, “His 37 year career as a law enforcement veteren in central Mississippi reflects a lifetime of selfless service and dedication to the community. Deputy Wells touched the lives of many leaving an indelible mark on those he served. May God provide love and comfort to his loved ones.”
