AT&T giving a $5 credit for outage
AT&T is giving a $5 credit to their customers without service for up to 12 hours last week.
AT&T had a system-wide outage last week after a software upload(according to AT&T) caused their operating system to glitch. Cell phone users nationwide were without cellular service for up to 12 hours due to the outage. People with access to wifi or hotspots were able to stay in touch.
The outage started early Thursday morning around 2 a.m. Several posts on social media asked if others were having the same issue of their phone displaying “SOS Mode.”
You do not have to do anything to receive the credit, AT&T will automatically apply it to those whose phones were affected.
