One arrested for shooting on Ethel

The Vicksburg Police Department has released the following:

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 1500 block of Ethel Street. During the course of the investigation, 19 year old Avante DeAnthony Wilson and 20 year old Tyreese Carter were identified as the two witnessed shooting at another individual within the area. No injuries were reported.

Wilson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon on Thursday, February 22, 2024 and was given a bond of $250,000.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of Carter for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon. This remains an active investigation with possibly more arrest to follow.
