Authorities Searching for Dodge Charger After Officer Involved Shooting in McComb

McComb, Miss. – Authorities are now searching for a 2016 grey Dodge Charger after an officer involved shooting incident in McComb, Mississippi yesterday. One person has been killed by McComb Police Officers, and another arrested during a suspicious vehicle stop in the area of 25th St. in McComb.

According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), officers with the McComb Police Department were responding to calls of a suspicious vehicle in the area near 212 25th Street in McComb, Ms. Upon arrival, officers encountered a gray 2016 Dodge Charger, tag number PJP357.

The MBI then reports that two subjects exited the vehicle, and one subject “presented a weapon” at the officers. The officers discharged their weapons, fatally injuring one subject.

The vehicle then fled the scene, and it is believed that three or four additional individuals were inside the vehicle. The involved officers did not receive any serious physical injuries.

If you see this vehicle with tag number PJP357, please call 911 immediately, do not approach.
They are believed to be armed and dangerous. MBI is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence.

Upon completing the investigation, agents will share their findings with the Attorney General’s Office.

UPDATE: The vehicle has been located unoccupied. The BOLO has been canceled according to Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
