Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said, “Just before 6 a.m. Vicksburg Fire Department paramedics, County Fire and the Sheriff’s Department responded to the 7500 block of Freetown Road of what originally came in as a medical call. Units arrived on the scene found a 31-year-old male in the driveway of the home, obviously deceased. Deputy Coroner Kelda Bailess responded to the scene along with Chief Investigator Stacy Rollison. There were no immediate signs visible that would indicated a cause of death. So the body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner for a full autopsy. Acquaintances at the residence stated that they had last seen him alive in the early morning hours, a few hours before he was discovered in the driveway. We are waiting to hear the results of the autopsy that would indicate what the cause of death is.”
The individual has been identified as Travis Davis, 31, of Warren County. Davis was reportedly en route to a new job out of state on the day his body was found.
