Burrell is the Lady Vikes first State Champion in six years

Warren Central High School’s Adria Burrell is now a state champion as she conquered first place in the 200m(25.57). She also came in second place in the 100m(12.23).

Arrionna Jenkins finished second(35-07.25) in the shot put while Mariah Burnett came in fourth. Cora Lindsay captured fifth place in the 3,200 Abigail DeJesus came in eighth. The Lady Vikes 4x200m relay came in fourth place and Mere Smith finished in eight place in 300m hurdles.

Burrell is the first state champion for WC(girls) in six years.

For the WC boys, Dwight Palmer had the highest honors by coming in second place in the 200m(21.77). Ricky Neal came in sixth in the triple jump while WC’s 4×100 m relay and 4×200 m relay finished in fourth and seventh place.
