Vicksburg High School girls’ track team finished their season as the state runner-ups on Saturday as they finished with 71 points. Hattiesburg win it by just two points.

Shaniyah Walker(400m,57.41) and Zion Knox(Triple Jump, 35-08) both came in first place in their events. Rodrianna Hall finished in second place in both the triple jump and long jump. The Missy Gators 4×200 also earned a blue ribbon which consisted of Walker, J. Brooks, T. Taylor and A. Hall.

McKenzie Edmond(High Jump) and Kennedy Williams(Discus) both finished in fourth place. Jamiya Stewart came in seventh in Discus and the 4×400 finished fifth.

On the boys’ side, Koury Vample walked away as a state champion in the 300m hurdles(39.30). Tyler Henderson came in second in both the triple jump(45-10.75) and 100m(10.81).

Jayden Woods came in sixth in the discus while KJ Hill(shot put) and Shaun Archer(discus) came in seventh.
