Caples and Carter receives All-MACCC honors

JACKSON, Miss.-Vicksburg natives Janiah Caples and Layla Carter received All-MACCC honors. Both Caples and Carter starred for Mississippi Delta Community College this season where they advanced to the championship game.
Caples made the All-MACCC First Team as she averaged 15 points per game for the Lady Trojans. She also averaged 5.5 rebounds in her first year with the program. Caples spent her freshman season played at Pearl River Community College.
Carter made the All-MACCC Second Team after averaging 11.7 points per game. She also averaged 6.6 rebounds per game. Carter spent her freshman year at Southern Arkansas University.
Another Mississippi Delta CC basketball player Lauren Nelson is also an Honorable Mention athlete on the MACCC Team.
