Cheerleading roster announced for VHS 25-26 basketball squad

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg High School has announced its official cheerleading roster for the 2025–26 basketball season. The list was released last week, naming the students selected to represent the school at the games and support the Gators throughout the season.

The cheerleading squad will be led by head coach Shalanda Harris, who brings enthusiasm and experience to the team. Assisting with logistics and team coordination are managers Zipporah Drake and Rhania Sylvester, who will help ensure the team stays organized and performance-ready throughout the season.

This year’s basketball cheerleading roster includes a mix of returning leaders and new talent. Jordan Tillman will serve as team captain. Myrianna Myles, Nyla Henton, and Laporsha Hall will each serve as co-captains, helping to lead the squad with energy and school spirit.

Rounding out the team are Addison Anderson, Aja Odom, Alexandria Harris, Chelsea Rankin, Jazmyn Ellis, Mariah Sanders, Tiana Nunnally, Gamari’ay Parker, Desire Robinson, and Zy’Asia Stewart.

The basketball cheerleaders play an important role in maintaining school spirit and boosting morale during home and away games. The 2025–26 squad is set to begin preparations this summer with training and team-building activities.
