Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office searching for a shooting suspect

Claiborne County, MS – On November 14, 2023, at approximately 11:43 p.m., local law enforcement responded to a shooting incident near 61 South. Preliminary investigations reveal that multiple shots were fired into the victim’s residence, resulting in the injury of one female who was shot once.

The suspect has been identified as Shelvionte Farmer, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Authorities are actively seeking information from the public that may lead to the apprehension of the suspect. Farmer is considered armed and dangerous, and individuals with relevant information are urged to contact the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office at 601-437-5161.

In connection with this incident, Wil’Bresha Hedrick has been arrested for accessory after the fact. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is working diligently to bring all responsible parties to justice.
