Claude Robert King Jr.

Claude Robert King Jr. was born to Claude and Helen King on December 3, 1938 in Lake Providence, LA. He passed away on August 16, 2024 in Hitchcock TX. Claude attended Carr Central High School where he received many athletic accolades including All American Halfback at 16 years old and State Sprint Champion. He was one of the most publicized recruits in University of Houston football history and was the centerpiece of a tug-of-war between Ole Miss and the Cougars that created headlines throughout the South in 1956.
