Cold Front to Bring Rain, Strong Winds, and Freezing Temperatures

VICKSBURG, Miss. — A strong cold front will move through the Vicksburg and Warren County area overnight, bringing rain, gusty winds, and a sharp drop in temperatures.
Rain is expected between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., with lows around 30 degrees. Winds will shift from east to north at 5 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%, with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch possible.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 39 degrees, while north winds at 15 mph could produce gusts up to 25 mph. By Wednesday night, skies will clear, but temperatures will drop significantly, with a low around 18 degrees. Winds will remain out of the north at 15 mph, with gusts reaching 25 mph.
Thursday will be sunny but cold, with a high near 36 degrees and north winds 10 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph. Overnight, temperatures will fall to 19 degrees under mostly clear skies, with north-northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph.
Friday will bring slightly warmer conditions, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 44 degrees. Winds will shift to the north-northeast at 5 mph. By Friday night, clouds will increase, and the low will drop to 27 degrees, with calm winds expected.
