Dollar General on 61S to close April 14, offers 50% off until then

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Dollar General at 4000 U.S. 61 South is going out of business and will permanently close on April 14, 2025. Until then, all items—excluding alcohol and tobacco—are 50% off.
In its fourth-quarter earnings report released last week, the company announced plans to close 96 Dollar General stores and 45 pOpshelf locations during the first quarter of 2025. Another six pOpshelf stores will be converted as part of a store portfolio review conducted in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024.
The Vicksburg Daily News spoke with the store’s manager, who confirmed that all employees will be reassigned to other locations.
