Flashes roll past ACCS in doubleheader sweep
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — St. Aloysius baseball picked up a pair of wins over Adams County Christian School in a Friday doubleheader, winning 13-3 and 8-2.
In Game 1, the Flashes secured a run-rule victory in five innings. Cohen Coomes and JT Smith each hit doubles, while JT Smith (one RBI), Pierson Smith (two RBIs) and Keller Bradley (one RBI) all finished with two hits apiece. Walt Andrews, Sadler Lambiotte, Mason Bourne (one RBI), Coomes (two RBIs), William Roberson (one RBI) and Robert Lee (one RBI) each added a hit.
Bradley earned the win on the mound, striking out six batters.
In Game 2, St. Aloysius continued its offensive momentum. Bradley delivered a triple, while Mason Bourne, William Roberson and Pierson Smith each recorded doubles. Pierson Smith went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Lambiotte and Roberson both had two hits and one RBI, while Coomes, Bourne (two RBIs), Andrews and Bradley each contributed a hit. JT Smith added one RBI.
Bradley struck out four batters and allowed no hits in Game 2. Andrews recorded two strikeouts, and Bryce Shows also did not allow a hit.
St. Aloysius will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Christ Covenant for a doubleheader.
