Gators came out with a 18-17 win over Yazoo City

Vicksburg, Miss.-The Vicksburg High School baseball team won a high-scoring 18-17 match against Yazoo City on Saturday. The game was played in 8 innings, and both teams were tied at 17-17 by the end of the seventh.

Peyton Calvin hit the walk-off RBI in the eighth inning for the win.

Nick Carson and Seven West hit doubles while Kaleb Doss finished with a triple. Abel Gonzalez(2 RBIs) and Doss(3 RBIs) both went 2 for 4 at the plate while Ashton Harris, Kolten Thomas, Peyton Calvin(2 RBIs), and Carson(1 RBI) all had one hit.

Carson struck out eight batters and Kobe Cartwright struck out five.

PCA:

Porter’s Chapel Academy took a 10-1 loss to Briarfield Academy and a 3-2 loss to Franklin Academy.

Cole Potter and Ethan Potter both had a hit in the FA game. Coltin Hancock threw four strikeouts and Landon McCollough struck out two batters.

In the loss to BA, Gordan, Conley Johnston(1 RBI), Carson Hays, and Clayton McClure each had a hit. Chad Fuson threw two strikeouts and Hancock threw one.
